FAQ'S:

Q. What is your vision for a new club?
A. A girls-only club that promotes East Texas girls ready to compete beyond recreational soccer.

Q. How many teams will you have?
A. As many as possible keeping with our "One team per licensed coach" philosophy. We understand that sometimes things happen, but will strive to uphold this philosophy.

Q. Will there be tryouts and how can I find out more about them?
A. Summer is the default time for club teams to hold tryouts. For exact dates and other information, please see our Try-Outs page.

Q. What fields will be used for practice?
A. Possibilities include fields in Pine Tree, Spring Hill, and the GLSA complex. Each team should consult their coach for specifics.

Q. Will we play in the Dallas Leagues?
A. This will be determined on a team-by-team basis, but most teams will opt to do so in order to grow and improve from the consistent competition the Dallas area offers.

Q. What fees will be included?
A. Fees will be much the same as any other club: coach's fees, league fees, card fees, tournament fees, uniforms, facility fees, and others. See any coach for details.

FAQ'S:

Q. What is the club structure like?
A. At this point in time, we have a President (who does not coach), who fulfills the role of mediator/moderator. He handles any issues that players or parents wish to discuss that cannot be handled by the coaches. The heart of any team is the players and the coach, not the club itself. All coaches have an Open Door policy, and encourage any questions and comments. This is a learning experience for us all, and no one, coaches nor players or parents, is above positive constructive criticism.

Q. What are the future goals of the coaches?
A. Though nothing is absolute, most coaches are from Longview and are still making roots in Longview. Few have any plans to go elsewhere any time soon. We all love Longview soccer and coaching girls soccer. This club is our way of promoting and assisting the girls of East Texas to be the best they can, compete with the best, continually grow and improve not only as players, but as people with each new season, and to focus on what each girl can achieve in this wonderful sport.

Q. Who supports the club?
A. Of course the staff does, as well as local soccer businessman Mike Withrow and the Locker Room, and many others in the Greater Longview soccer community who recognize the need for a soccer club that focuses on the girls in our area, as well as on their needs and abilities.
